5 Things that Grabbed my Attention
1. APRA is banning Banks from issuing Hybrid securities which are popular with retail investors. Instead banks will have to fill the gap and raise the money via wholesale markets…..I think APRA’s decision is not about protecting retail investors but rather giving financial institutions control (and ability to make big money) over the distribution of income producing products at a time when demand from baby boomers is sky high…..I look at every major government decision with suspicion as there is always an ulterior motive.
